Balance between two materials The Olaria coffee table combines a curved oak veneer top with a cylindrical terracotta base. The union between the two materials creates an interplay between volumes where the visual lightness of wood contrasts with the solid and tactile presence of ceramic. An element integrated in the architecture of the piece The terracotta base pierces the top and becomes an essential part of the design. Its hollow interior allows it to be used as a planter, incorporating vegetation into the structure of the table. It also includes a lid for use at two different heights. Design and versatility Designed by Otto Bridgham and Ana Isabel de Oliveira in collaboration with Elisava, Olaria explores new ways to connect furniture and nature. The continuous curves of the wood and the texture of the terracotta create a sculptural and functional piece.
