The Bio-mbo bedside table, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Cassina, accompanies the bed of the same name, completing its design idea. Born from a reflection on the sleeping area as a personal and intimate space, the bedside table takes up the aesthetic and functional codes of the bed system, offering itself as a coherent and well-integrated complement.The structure consists of a top and leg available in glossy lacquered MDF in different colors, or in Canaletto walnut or oak wood, with various finishes. The side element, made of curved aluminum sheet, is gloss lacquered in black or amaranth tones, and defines a volume that not only supports but also frames the space next to the bed. The support is articulated asymmetrically, with a single central support that lightens the overall perception of the object.Bio-mbo interprets night furniture according to an idea of measured and functional comfort, where every detail contributes to create an intimate and well-calibrated context. The nightstand thus becomes part of a larger project, in which materials, geometries and proportions dialogue quietly but incisively with the surrounding environment.
